WinEdt + MikTeXis the combination that people usually use in Windows OS for preparing LaTeX docs. MikTeX is a free software where as WinEdt is not. It is a shareware and can be used without any restrictions for the first 31st days of installation. After 31st days, a reminder will start popping up all the time when we use WinEdt. But we can disable this popup for another 31 days without re installing the WinEdt software.

There are many Internet Service Providers (ISP) in Ker ala.These include BSNL, Asianet, Reliance, Tata Tele Services etc. Many of them provide wired as well as wireless internet connections. Wireless connections are usually not that fast compared to the wired ones. But they offer the convenience of travelling with your laptop anywhere in the world.

The following I tried in Windows XP Pro.Not sure about any other OS. May not work in a non Windows OS.

To unlock Idea NetSetter 3g (Huawei E1550) what I did is, from the site http://a-zgsm.com/huawei.php I found the flash code for my H3G using its unique IMEI number.

I faced some trouble while trying to import a MS Office (XP) created CSV file to a MySQL database table. Trouble was with certain non English (basically accented) characters and it was coming up as question marks in the phpmyadmin interface after importing it. It turned out that selecting the correct character set (charset) for importing the file to the database will solve this error.

Drupal - the most popular CMS these days - has many great features. One of them is changing the top picture(usually called as a banner) randomly. That is, when you go to different pages, you get different different top images. What drupal does is in the graphics.css (in the theme directory), it defines the header section to take background from the url img/banners/rotate.php. The script rotate.php pulls the image files randomly from the directlry img/banners. But if you are using the free hosting of godaddy.com, this rotation may not work.
