What is E-Lokam? and, why?

In Sanskrit, the word "lokam(लोकम्)" stands for world. So as per dictionary meaning, E-Lokam(इ-लोकम् - ഇ-ലോകം ) stands for e-world. According to Hindu theology there are fourteen worlds - seven higher worlds (heavens) and seven lower ones (underworlds). (The earth is considered the lowest of the seven higher worlds.) E-Lokam intends to be the fifteenth world - the E-world - for the internet commuunity in India.

As professionals, we, the E-lokam mainteners intends it to be the one stop shop for all kinds of website/database/server management services. We design/maintain websites for small medium companies/institutes. Let it be personal sites or academic ones or commercial ones. We also install different types of servers for different purposes and troubleshoot them and maintain them based on customer requests.

As a service for the internet community, E-lokam also focuses on discussions that could be useful to the emerging young internet community in India (Kerala in particular). We are incorporating thrilling ideas to this site every week and in every e-field.
